But Vuyo is much more than just an author—she’s a force to be reckoned with in the world of TV and film, an International Seasoned Broadcaster, a TEDx Speaker, and a Published Author. As the host of The Vuyo Joboda Show: Live from New York City, she captivates audiences worldwide. Making history as the first African signed with American International Publishing House 13th & Joan, her book ’21’ now reaches audiences across the globe, solidifying her status as the youngest Global Media Executive in Africa.

Raised in extreme poverty in the township of Khayelitsha in Cape Town, Vuyo’s journey from shack to success is nothing short of inspirational. A graduate of Africa’s #1 ranking University of Cape Town, she holds a degree in Film and Television Studies, Media, and Writing, along with Business Leadership training from the United Nations Economic and Social Commission. Her expertise extends further, having received film Screenwriting training from New York University Professor John Warren.

The Vuyo Joboda Network, founded by Vuyo, boasts its own 24-hour TV channel on The Enterprise Theater on ROKU, amplifying her global presence. Recognized by TEDx since 2017 for her impactful talks, Vuyo tours as a keynote speaker, spreading her insights on entrepreneurship and media.
